Hotel Duty Manager

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Duty Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day operations of our hotel. The successful candidate will ensure all departments deliver the highest standard of customer service while handling any situation professionally in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Arrive on time in proper uniform and follow grooming standards.
• Conduct handovers with the previous and next shift managers.
• Coordinate with the General Manager on daily hotel operations.
• Provide support and supervision to all departments (F&B, reception, accommodation, etc.) using a proactive approach.
• Communicate hotel services to guests, including bar and restaurant hours, internet access, luggage assistance, and overall guest experience.
• Perform shift duties within various hotel departments as required.
• Monitor staffing levels with department heads to meet budget and service standards.
• Assist with weekly stock counts for laundry, alcohol, food, cutlery and crockery.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and courteously.
• Attend meetings and training sessions.
• Ensure compliance with fire, health and safety, hygiene, security, and cash handling procedures.
• Carry out HACCP checks and other operational procedures during the shift.
• Perform occasional duties in other hotel areas as needed.
