HR Business Manager – Donegal Site

About the role

Abbott is seeking a senior HR professional to lead the delivery of human resources services at its state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing site in Donegal, Ireland. Reporting to the Ireland HR Director, the role sits on the site leadership team and partners closely with business leaders to align people strategies with the company’s objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse market trends and internal data to translate business strategy into actionable HR initiatives.
• Develop and implement human capital strategies covering employee relations, organisational design, talent fulfilment and compensation & benefits.
• Coordinate cross‑functional project teams, manage timelines and adjust plans as needed to meet deliverables.
• Act as a trusted business partner, providing counsel, influencing leaders and applying change‑management principles to ensure adoption of HR programs.
• Foster collaboration across HR functions, site operations and broader corporate disciplines.

Required profile

• Proven experience in employee relations, organisational design, talent management and compensation & benefits.
• Strong ability to partner with senior leaders, influence decisions and navigate complex business environments.
• Demonstrated project‑management skills and capability to drive HR initiatives from concept to execution.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
