In-House Legal Counsel – Generalist (2-5 yrs PQE)

About the role

This position offers a solicitor the chance to join a fast‑growing, international engineering and infrastructure business as an in‑house legal counsel. You will work directly with business units, providing commercial and legal support across a broad range of matters.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts.
• Advise internal stakeholders on day‑to‑day legal and commercial issues.
• Support employment law and HR‑related matters together with the HR team and external advisers.
• Assist with corporate governance and wider compliance initiatives.
• Support dispute management and litigation matters.
• Provide guidance on GDPR and data‑protection issues.
• Contribute to legal policy development, training and risk‑management projects.

Required profile

• Irish‑qualified solicitor with 2–5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong legal training gained at a reputable law firm.
• Experience in corporate/commercial, commercial litigation, commercial property or related areas.
• Commercially minded, pragmatic and eager to build strong relationships across the business.
