Integrated Fitness & Swim Instructor

About the role

The Hillgrove Hotel & Spa is looking for an enthusiastic Integrated Fitness & Swim Instructor to join its Leisure Team. This dual‑role position combines group fitness instruction with structured swimming lessons, delivering high‑quality experiences to guests and members.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver safe, engaging fitness classes for a range of abilities.
• Provide professional guidance on exercise techniques and support members in achieving health goals.
• Deliver individual and group swimming lessons across all age groups.
• Support learn‑to‑swim programmes and stroke development while ensuring strict pool safety.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming fitness and pool environment.
• Offer excellent customer service and act as a positive ambassador for the hotel.

Required profile

• Recognised Fitness Instructor qualification (Level 3 preferred).
• Recognised Swimming Instructor qualification (e.g., Swim Ireland/STA/ASA or equivalent).
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
• Pool lifeguard qualification.
• Desirable: experience in a hotel or leisure centre and previous group‑fitness teaching.
