Junior Quantity Surveyor – Civil Infrastructure Projects

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading civil contractor on large‑scale infrastructure projects in Dublin. You will support the delivery of residential and major civil works, ensuring cost‑effective procurement and accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Procure, appoint and manage subcontractors and suppliers through to final account.
• Produce accurate progress accounts and monitor project costs.
• Prepare and assess interim and final valuations for progress payments.
• Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate risks and cost overruns.
• Assist the pre‑construction team in preparing tender submissions.
• Stay updated on industry innovations, regulations and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying.
• At least 1 year of quantity surveying experience in the civil engineering sector or a relevant placement/internship.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control and procurement processes.
• Proven experience with NEC contracts.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
