Junior Quantity Surveyor – Civil Infrastructure Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading civil contractor on large‑scale infrastructure projects in Dublin. This is an entry‑level position offering exposure to both residential and major civil works.

Key responsibilities

• Procure, appoint and manage subcontractors and suppliers through to final account.
• Produce accurate progress accounts and monitor project costs.
• Prepare and assess interim and final valuations for progress payments.
• Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate cost overruns and risks.
• Assist the pre‑construction team in delivering tender packages.
• Stay updated on industry innovations, regulations and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying.
• At least 1 year of experience in quantity surveying within the civil engineering sector, or a relevant placement/internship.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control and procurement processes.
• Proven experience with NEC contracts.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
