Junior System Administrator

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity to join an Irish software and technology business as a Junior System Administrator. The role is ideal for someone early in their IT career who wants hands‑on experience with modern Microsoft environments, end‑user support, cloud services and internal infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day support for laptops, desktops, mobile devices and end users.
• Assist in the administration of Microsoft 365 services, including Outlook, Teams and user access.
• Support and maintain Active Directory/Entra ID and related identity services.
• Help manage networking components such as DNS, DHCP and IP addressing.
• Contribute to the security and operational stability of the company’s IT environment.
• Log and resolve incidents using the IT ticketing/ITSM system.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an IT support, helpdesk or technical support role.
• Experience supporting Windows 10/11 devices and mobile platforms.
• IT qualification in Computer Science, IT or equivalent practical experience.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts and Windows Server.
• Desirable: exposure to Intune, device management tools and IT security best practices.

• Microsoft 365 administration (Outlook, Teams, user access management)
• Active Directory and/or Entra ID

• Windows 10 and Windows 11
• Intune or other device management tools (desirable)
• Basic Windows Server knowledge
• IT ticketing or ITSM systems
• Microsoft Fundamentals certifications (MS‑900, AZ‑900) or CompTIA A+/Network+
