Lead Process Engineer

About the role

Arcadis is seeking a Lead Process Engineer to join its Advance Technology Group (ATG). The role involves leading the design of complex process systems for semiconductor manufacturing, data centre and other high‑tech facilities. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver feasibility studies, detailed design, construction documents and construction‑phase support for design‑bid‑build or design‑build projects worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Subject‑Matter‑Expert for the ATG process design group, overseeing individual process design projects from concept to construction documents.
• Organise, assign and delegate engineering tasks, ensuring timely delivery of PFDs, P&IDs and other design deliverables.
• Manage project scope, budget and schedule to meet client objectives.
• Coordinate with mechanical, structural, architectural and electrical disciplines in real time.
• Conduct site selection, due‑diligence activities and front‑end engineering studies.
• Perform HAZOP studies and ensure compliance with ATEX requirements.
• Review construction submittals and observe field activities to verify design intent.

Required profile

• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, changing environment while meeting commitments.

Required skills

• Process Flow Diagram (PFD) development.
• Piping & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) creation.
• HAZOP study execution.
• Knowledge of ATEX safety requirements.
• Design of planar chemical, bulk chemical, specialty gas, bulk gas, UPW and wastewater systems.
