Lecturer to Associate Professor – Psychology (Sydney)

About the role

The School of Psychology at UNSW is seeking candidates for Lecturer, Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor positions. The role involves developing a strong research programme, particularly in perception, and contributing to high‑quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver lectures, tutorials and labs for psychology courses.
• Supervise and assess undergraduate and postgraduate student projects.
• Develop and maintain an active, internationally recognised research agenda in perception.
• Secure external research funding and publish in leading journals.
• Participate in departmental service, including curriculum development and committee work.

Required profile

• Doctorate in Psychology or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated record of scholarly research, with publications in perception or related areas.
• Experience teaching psychology at university level.
• Ability to obtain and manage research grants.
