About the role
Lift Schools, one of the largest school trusts in the UK, is offering a school‑based Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programme for aspiring primary teachers. Over a twelve‑month period you will work in a classroom, gain hands‑on experience, and achieve a Post‑Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) together with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Key responsibilities
- Deliver primary‑school lessons under the guidance of a mentor teacher.
- Plan, prepare and assess learning activities aligned with the national curriculum.
- Participate in weekly training sessions and a two‑week summer school to build theoretical knowledge.
- Reflect on practice with a dedicated tutor and in‑school coach, adjusting approaches as needed.
- Collaborate with peers across the Lift Schools network to share best practices.
Required profile
- Minimum 2:2 undergraduate degree (or equivalent).
- GCSE (or overseas equivalent) in Maths, English and Science.
- Right to work in the UK for the full training period (July 2026 – September 2027).
