About the role
This senior specialist position supports a top‑tier law firm’s Digital Services Group, leading the day‑to‑day legal document production function while creating complex documents to a high standard.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate document production workflows across legal teams.
- Create, edit, format and finalise complex legal documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF tools.
- Maintain formatting consistency, templates, branding and legal standards.
- Handle document comparisons and mark‑ups with Litera Compare, Draftable and similar tools.
- Proofread and quality‑check documents for accuracy and consistency.
- Support new technology rollouts and continuous‑improvement projects.
- Collaborate with lawyers, LPAs, IT and business services teams.
- Provide guidance on best practices, version control and compliance.
Required profile
- 5+ years’ experience in legal document production within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Proven experience leading or supervising a high‑performing team.
- Strong ability to manage deadlines and complex workflows.
- Enjoys combining technical document expertise with leadership.
Required skills
- Advanced Microsoft Word (complex formatting, styles, TOCs, tracked changes).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts).
- Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint (animations, embedded files).
- Proficiency with PDF tools and document comparison software (Litera Compare, Draftable).
- Familiarity with legal tech systems such as iManage, BigHand, Bundledocs, Kofax PDF, StructureFlow.
