Lift & Escalator Service Apprentice – Engineering

About the role

Join KONE’s 2026 Apprentice Programme and start a hands‑on engineering career maintaining lifts and escalators across Dublin. You will split your week between on‑site work with experienced engineers and classroom study for nationally recognised qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Shadow and assist senior engineers on live service sites.
• Perform routine service visits and minor repairs on lift and escalator equipment.
• Interact professionally with customers to understand and resolve service requests.
• Travel to customer locations, often outside standard working hours.

Required profile

• Minimum 18 years old by 1 September 2026.
• Basic qualifications in Maths and English (GCSE level or equivalent).
• Practical, hands‑on attitude with strong logical thinking.
• Good time‑management, organisation and communication skills.
• Willingness to obtain a driving licence within the first two years.

Required skills

• Lift and escalator maintenance.
• Minor repairs of lift equipment.
