Locum Consultant Anaesthesiologist (0.7 WTE)

About the role
We are seeking a qualified Consultant Anaesthesiologist to join the National Maternity Hospital on a locum basis. The position is a 0.7 whole‑time equivalent (WTE) role, delivering 24.5 hours of clinical service each week, and will start immediately.
Key responsibilities
- Provide anaesthetic care for obstetric and surgical patients in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Participate in pre‑operative assessments, intra‑operative management, and post‑operative recovery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to regulatory standards.
Required profile
- Registered specialist in Anaesthesiology on the Specialist Division of the Irish Medical Council Register.
- Current, unrestricted medical practising licence in Ireland.
- Experience in obstetric anaesthesia preferred.
