Maintenance Engineer – Day & Evening Shift (Cork)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a leading provider of manufacturing solutions for the Medical Device and Aerospace & Defense sectors. The role involves maintaining and installing new machinery, refurbishing plant equipment, and improving overall equipment reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and perform periodic maintenance (weekly to annual) on all equipment and installations.
• Complete required paperwork for internal and external audits.
• Provide rapid response to breakdowns and resolve issues promptly.
• Conduct on‑site audits of operators' daily and weekly preventive maintenance tasks.
• Ensure equipment is in good working order to prevent production disruptions.
• Apply electrical problem‑solving and fault‑finding skills as needed.

Required profile

• Electrical qualification (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing support role.
• Experience with CNC machinery.
• Experience with pneumatic systems.
• Strong mechanical background.
• Ability to work well under pressure and communicate effectively.
