Manufacturing Engineering Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead engineering activities across new product introduction, automation, facilities, and high‑volume production support in a fast‑paced electronics manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, you will drive manufacturing excellence, operational scalability and technical leadership at our Shannon site.

Key responsibilities

• Lead NPI engineering from design through production ramp‑up, driving DFM/DFT, PFMEA, process validation, control plans and handover.
• Develop and execute the automation strategy, identifying productivity and quality improvements and leading continuous‑improvement projects.
• Support facilities expansion, layout optimisation and infrastructure projects while providing technical leadership for complex production issues.
• Manage and develop a high‑performing manufacturing engineering team, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
• Oversee capital projects, conduct ROI analysis and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and meet yield targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electronic, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
• 7‑10 years of experience in high‑volume electronics manufacturing.
• 3‑5 years in an engineering leadership role.
• Proven track record in NPI industrialisation, automation projects and manufacturing process development.
• Strong stakeholder management and problem‑solving abilities.
