Multi-Disciplinary Design Team Leader

About the role

AECOM is looking for an experienced Multi‑Disciplinary Design Team Leader to head complex infrastructure projects across Ireland. The role will be based in one of our offices in Dublin, Belfast, Cork or Galway and will involve client‑facing leadership, design coordination and support for work‑winning activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multi‑disciplinary design teams (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, architectural and specialist disciplines) on major projects.
• Manage the full design lifecycle, ensuring delivery to scope, schedule, budget and quality targets.
• Act as the primary design interface between clients, project managers, discipline leads, contractors and external stakeholders.
• Drive strategic pursuits, develop compelling proposals and leverage BIM and AI capabilities to secure profitable contracts.
• Align design solutions with client requirements while maintaining technical excellence and safety standards.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in multidisciplinary design environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and presentation skills.
• High degree of flexibility, creativity and ability to communicate effectively with clients and consultants.
• Experience in managing integrated design solutions from concept through detailed design and construction support.
