Night Manager – Hotel Operations

About the role

The Salthill Hotel is seeking a proactive Night Manager to lead the night‑porters and ensure smooth hotel operations during the overnight hours. This role combines hands‑on supervision, guest service, and administrative duties to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule the Night Porter team, ensuring uniform compliance and proper training.
• Conduct Night Audit procedures, process billing, and file audit reports accurately.
• Set up and inspect function and meeting rooms, guaranteeing correct layout and cleanliness.
• Handle front‑desk duties such as late arrivals, call handling, and guest requests.
• Document and communicate any incidents, maintenance faults, or security concerns to the day team.
• Perform safety walks, fire walk checks, and ensure RSA compliance for bar operations.
• Maintain accurate departmental accounting entries and ensure all paperwork is filed correctly.
