Night Porter – Full‑time Hotel Night Shift

About the role

Cabra Castle is seeking a full‑time Night Porter to join its hospitality team. This role is ideal for a customer‑focused night owl who enjoys providing a safe and welcoming environment for guests during the overnight hours.

Key responsibilities

• Check‑in late‑arriving guests following hotel procedures.
• Answer the hotel switchboard courteously and take messages for guests and management.
• Sell rooms during the night to reputable clientele in line with hotel policy.
• Serve light food and drinks to residents and guests, accurately accounting for all transactions.
• Handle cash and charge accounting, ensuring handover to the day receptionist.
• Conduct regular security patrols, focusing on guest safety, staff safety, property security, and fire safety.
• Prepare function spaces for the next day’s events.

Required profile

• Minimum age 25 years.
• Full, clean driver’s licence and reliable means of commuting.
• Legal permission to reside and work in Ireland.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Customer‑service orientation; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous bar experience preferred but not essential (training provided).
