Night Porter – Part‑time Hospitality Role

About the role

The Radisson BLU Hotel in Athlone is seeking a reliable Night Porter to join its team on a part‑time basis. You will be the first point of contact for guests during evening and overnight hours, ensuring their safety, comfort, and satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols and monitor security systems to protect guests and property.
• Provide courteous front‑desk service, answer queries, and handle guest requests promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness of the lobby, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces.
• Assist guests with luggage on arrival and departure.
• Operate the switchboard and manage incoming calls professionally.
• Prepare function rooms for breakfast or other events.
• Report maintenance or security issues to the appropriate team.
• Complete all required paperwork and logs accurately.

Required profile

• Minimum of one year experience in customer service or hospitality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Required skills

• Basic operation of a telephone switchboard.
• Familiarity with security monitoring equipment.
