Onsite Residential Team Lead

About the role

This senior position leads the delivery of large‑scale residential projects for a design‑led architectural practice in Galway. You will own the end‑to‑end process, from early design through construction, ensuring quality, schedule and technical standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of residential developments, from concept to on‑site completion.
• Act as the primary liaison between clients, consultants and contractors.
• Mentor and manage a team of architects and technologists, setting clear expectations.
• Oversee planning, regulatory compliance and alignment with Irish building regulations.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review and sign off drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Maintain design integrity throughout construction and improve BIM processes.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in an architectural practice with a strong residential portfolio.
• Degree in Architecture or Architectural Technology; RIAI registration preferred.
• Proven track record of leading projects and managing teams in a fast‑paced environment.
• Extensive knowledge of residential construction, detailing and Irish building regulations.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort working onsite with contractors.

Required skills

• Revit (essential) – ability to lead BIM coordination and enforce standards.
• AutoCAD (essential) – confident in reviewing and coordinating full drawing packages.
• BIM coordination and management.
