About the role
The Patient Transport Administrator supports the Irish Cancer Society’s free patient transport service, coordinating referrals, bookings and financial assistance for patients referred by partner hospitals. Working within a small admin team, you will ensure smooth daily operations while delivering a high‑quality, compassionate service.
Key responsibilities
- Receive and record referral information from partner hospitals, keeping the patient database up‑to‑date.
- Process daily transport bookings, entering details into the Microsoft Dynamics CRM system.
- Handle incoming patient calls and emails, providing information and directing patients to additional support services.
- Administer transport grant applications, verify eligibility and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
- Resolve logistical issues, adhere to quality standards and provide cover for the Driver Support team when required.
- Liaise with healthcare professionals, volunteers and patients to address queries and improve service delivery.
Required profile
- Previous experience in administrative or customer‑service roles, preferably within healthcare or charitable organisations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a high volume of enquiries.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient‑focused attitude.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid model with set office days (Wednesday and Thursday).
Required skills
- Microsoft Dynamics CRM (or similar CRM platforms).
What we offer
- Permanent full‑time contract (35 hours per week).
- Salary of €31,500 per annum.
