Porter-Mailroom Technician

About the role

The Porter‑Mailroom Technician supports the Facilities Management Maintenance team across multiple commercial buildings, ensuring rooms are set up, equipment is maintained, and health‑and‑safety standards are met. The role is based in the Sandyford/Leopardstown area and works a 39‑hour week, rostered between 7 am and 6 pm, Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out room set‑ups and alterations for events or customer requests.
• Inspect, maintain and report defects on all equipment; ensure safe storage.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and inspections as directed.
• Complete paperwork and adhere to Sensori’s QEHS policies.
• Support the wider FM team, escort contractors, act as safety spotter, and assist subcontractors.
• Enter and update data in Sensori’s CAFM system and generate reports.
• Liaise with supervisors on site activity progress and handle quotation or purchasing queries.
• Participate in ad‑hoc projects, repairs and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Good command of English, both written and verbal.
• Manual Handling Certificate or equivalent training.
• Ability to work flexibly, follow health‑and‑safety legislation and wear issued PPE.
• Willingness to complete required training and CPD.

Required skills

• Manual handling techniques.
• Use of CAFM (Computer Aided Facility Management) software.
• Basic IT proficiency (ECDL, Microsoft Office).
• Health & safety knowledge (e.g., IOSH, SOLAS Safe Pass).
