Project Engineer – Renewable Energy

About the role

Greenvolt Next Ireland is seeking a Project Engineer to support the delivery of renewable energy projects. You will be involved in the design, coordination, installation and management of electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the design, coordination and installation of renewable energy systems in line with technical specifications and programme timelines.
• Schedule works programmes, coordinate subcontractors and monitor project progress to ensure efficient completion.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, suppliers and internal teams, delivering updates and resolving issues.
• Ensure compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental standards and Irish construction regulations.
• Monitor safety systems and workmanship quality on site at all times.
• Manage project budgets, track expenditure and identify cost‑efficiency opportunities.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, records and reporting for compliance and administration.
• Continuously develop technical knowledge of renewable energy and construction trends and share expertise with colleagues.

Required profile

• Proven experience in delivering renewable energy or construction projects.
• Strong ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and subcontractors.
• Solid understanding of QHSE requirements and Irish construction regulations.
• Excellent organisational skills with a focus on budget and schedule control.
• Willingness to travel as required and work flexibly to meet project needs.
