Project Environment Manager – 12‑Month Contract (Hybrid)

About the role
We are seeking a Project Environment Manager to lead the management of development, test and production environments for a 12‑month contract. The role is hybrid, requiring two days onsite, and involves shaping the environment management operating model across Azure and Dynamics 365 platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the management of Development, System Test, SIT, UAT and Production environments.
- Define and implement a unified Environment Management Operating Model, including governance, processes, tooling and controls.
- Own the environment roadmap, refresh schedules, booking processes and capacity planning.
- Coordinate environment availability across multiple workstreams and manage dependencies.
- Collaborate with Release Management to ensure environments are deployment‑ready for successful releases.
- Establish governance forums and ensure compliance with regulatory, audit and security requirements.
- Drive resolution of environment issues, perform root‑cause analysis and implement long‑term improvements.
- Introduce automation for environment validation, monitoring and configuration management.
- Build, lead and mentor the Environment Management capability and prepare it for enterprise‑wide service.
- Produce environment reporting, dashboards and operational metrics for stakeholders.
Required profile
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Environment Management, Release Management, DevOps or Platform Operations.
- Strong experience managing enterprise environments within Azure Cloud.
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 environments, deployment pipelines and release processes.
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures, on‑premise integrations and enterprise infrastructure.
- Excellent understanding of SDLC, CI/CD pipelines and environment automation.
- Proven ability to manage complex environment landscapes across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Experience working in highly regulated financial services or similarly complex environments.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
- Proactive, solutions‑focused approach with the ability to perform under pressure during critical releases.
