Project Manager – Construction

About the role

JJ Rhatigan & Company, a leading building contractor in Ireland and the UK, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead multi‑million‑euro construction projects in the Kildare region. You will be responsible for delivering projects from pre‑start through to handover while ensuring health, safety, quality and environmental standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, programme and deliver projects using appropriate planning software.
• Manage health & safety compliance, BIM coordination and design management.
• Oversee construction operations, site logistics and procurement of subcontractors and materials.
• Monitor and update weekly programmes, flag risks early and implement mitigation measures.
• Prepare monthly reports on progress, quality, health & safety and finance in collaboration with the QS.
• Chair weekly site and QA meetings, record minutes and actions.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale construction projects from inception to completion.
• Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and company H&S management systems.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, mentor staff and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational skills with a focus on risk identification and mitigation.
