Project Manager – Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of large‑scale construction projects for a leading Irish construction firm. The role involves full responsibility for one major project or multiple sites, from planning through to handover, ensuring compliance with company standards and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for comprehensive management of a large project or multiple sites.
• Liaise with clients, sub‑contractors, engineers, foremen and quantity surveyors.
• Oversee all stages of the project lifecycle – planning, design development, execution and handover.
• Lead design teams, sub‑contractors and operational staff to meet time, budget and quality targets.
• Ensure strict compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality standards.
• Produce weekly work programmes, progress reports and chair management meetings.
• Align project delivery with commercial and budgetary objectives.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Progression from a Senior Engineer role to Project Manager level.
• Trade qualification or practical construction experience.
• Proven experience in project management within construction or civil engineering environments.
• Demonstrated commercial acumen, leadership and communication skills.

Required skills

• Insitu frame experience.
• Knowledge of civil works and construction methods.
• Project management expertise in construction or civil engineering contexts.
