Project Manager – Energy & Industry Projects

About the role

Murphy is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead energy and industry projects across multiple countries. You will be responsible for delivering complex transmission and distribution projects safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Take full accountability for project delivery, ensuring safety, schedule, contract compliance, and budget adherence.
• Set project standards, identify requirements, and resolve issues promptly.
• Plan, review, and deliver contract programmes.
• Line‑manage Site Managers, Site Engineers, and Section Managers.
• Maintain effective client relationships and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure risk assessments are created, maintained, and reviewed as needed.
• Handle commercial activities, including gross margin delivery, cost control, and financial performance metrics.
• Manage subcontractor performance and resolve operational issues.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a relevant trade certification.
• Proven experience in construction contracts, especially public works.
• Previous project management experience on large, site‑based civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to build close working relationships with clients and subcontractors.
