Project Manager - Engineering Consultancy

About the role

We are looking for a driven Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex mechanical, electrical and energy infrastructure projects for industrial manufacturing clients. Reporting to the Service Delivery Line Lead, you will oversee the full project lifecycle – from scoping and design through procurement, construction, commissioning and hand‑over – ensuring safety, quality and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multiple energy and decarbonisation projects across industrial facilities, managing planning, procurement, installation, commissioning and hand‑over.
• Act as primary liaison between EM3, clients, contractors, equipment vendors and internal engineering teams, delivering regular progress reports.
• Develop detailed project schedules and resource plans using MS Dynamics and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Prepare and monitor project budgets, track costs, manage change orders and work with finance on cash‑flow and invoicing.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and client‑specific standards and lead quality‑assurance activities.
• Identify risks early, maintain risk registers and implement mitigation strategies.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, dashboards and executive summaries for internal and client use.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale mechanical, electrical or energy‑efficiency projects in industrial settings.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple contractors and stakeholders.
• Excellent understanding of safety, environmental and quality compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to control budgets, costs and project profitability.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
