Project Manager – Renewable Energy & Solar

About the role

Greenco is seeking a Project Manager to lead the delivery of utility‑scale solar farms and commercial rooftop solar installations in Galway. The role combines hands‑on engineering, construction oversight and coordination of multiple stakeholders to ensure projects are completed safely, on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end delivery of solar farm and rooftop projects from planning through commissioning.
• Coordinate site activities, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams to meet programme milestones.
• Monitor and control project budgets, identify cost‑saving opportunities and report financial performance.
• Ensure health, safety, environmental and quality compliance across all works.
• Oversee plant, equipment and heavy‑machinery operations on site.
• Liaise with clients, landowners, contractors, ESB Networks and other stakeholders.
• Support operation and maintenance of existing solar assets and prepare progress reports, schedules and risk assessments.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering (civil, electrical or related).
• Proven on‑site project delivery experience in construction, infrastructure or renewable‑energy projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and costs.
• Full clean driving licence and genuine interest in the energy transition.
