Property Solicitor – In‑house Legal Team

About the role

SSE is looking for a Property Solicitor to join its in‑house legal team. You will support the safe and responsible delivery of onshore and offshore energy projects by providing trusted legal advice on property matters.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of property and land agreements.
• Provide clear, practical guidance to internal stakeholders on property issues.
• Manage relationships with external legal partners to ensure high‑quality, cost‑effective support.
• Support applications and queries with Tailte Éireann, ensuring accuracy throughout the process.
• Collaborate with the wider legal team to promote shared learning and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor in Ireland with 2‑5 years post‑qualification experience, preferably in property law.
• Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating property agreements.
• Familiarity with title investigation and land registration processes.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to communicate clearly.
• Proactive, organised and comfortable working in a safety‑led, values‑driven environment.
