QA/QC Engineer – Civil Projects

About the role
Wills Bros is looking for an experienced QA/QC Engineer to support the delivery of the West Apron Vehicle Underpass at Dublin Airport. You will work in a high‑security, live‑site environment, ensuring that all civil and structural works meet the highest quality, safety and regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures across all project phases, including material testing and workmanship verification.
- Conduct regular site inspections to confirm compliance with design specifications, health & safety rules and quality standards.
- Identify defects promptly and drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain accurate inspection, test and audit records; prepare detailed reports for project management.
- Compile and coordinate handover documentation, supporting the delivery of the Safety File and interim handovers.
- Support the construction team with Inspection and Test Plans, quality checklists and material approvals.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors and suppliers to ensure effective communication and quality delivery.
- Act as deputy for the Quality Manager during absences.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of civil engineering experience with a focus on QA/QC, preferably on road or major infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and Irish construction regulations, including ISO 9001.
- Fluent English with excellent problem‑solving and communication abilities.
