Quality Coordinator – Large-Scale Construction Projects

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Quality Coordinator to join our team on a large-scale design-and-build construction project. The role will oversee quality management across extensive earthworks, reinforced-concrete structures, and a steel portal-frame building, ensuring compliance with client specifications and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the Project Quality Plan and related procedures.
• Monitor compliance with client specifications, ISO 9001 standards and legal requirements.
• Conduct audits, inspections and on-site reviews, and lead root-cause analysis with corrective actions.
• Prepare and approve Inspection Test Plans, method statements and other QA/QC documentation.
• Maintain accurate quality records, test results and produce detailed reports for stakeholders.
• Act as the primary quality liaison with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Provide mentorship on quality requirements and participate in design and technical reviews.
• Oversee testing and approval of materials for earthworks, concrete and steel structures.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Professional membership (e.g., Chartered Engineer, CQI Practitioner) desirable.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a quality role within civil engineering or construction.
• Proven experience on large-scale design-and-build projects involving earthworks, RC and steel structures.

Required skills

• ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Geotechnical testing, concrete technology and EN 1090 structural steel standards.
• QA/QC tools, Inspection Test Plan (ITP) preparation and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
• Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD and quality management software.
