Receptionist / Reservations Agent – Luxury Hotel

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and professional Receptionist/Reservations Agent to join the award‑winning team at Harvey’s Point, a 4‑star luxury hotel set on the shores of Lough Eske. The role involves being the first point of contact for guests, handling both front‑desk duties and telephone reservations while delivering the high standards expected by our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, manage check‑in and check‑out procedures and perform end‑of‑day audit tasks.
• Answer telephone enquiries, process reservations and provide accurate information on room rates and special offers.
• Handle cash transactions in line with company policy and maintain accurate records.
• Resolve guest issues promptly, taking ownership and ensuring satisfaction.
• Perform general office duties such as email correspondence, filing and maintaining reception area tidiness.

Required profile

• Full‑time availability with willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Professional appearance, pleasant disposition and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong sales orientation with a natural ability to promote the Harvey’s Point experience.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Hotsoft PMS (advantage).
• Familiarity with revenue management systems.
