Revenue Accountant – 12‑Month Contract

About the role

Itron is seeking a Revenue Accountant on a 12‑month contract to ensure accurate revenue accounting across its global entities. Reporting to the Revenue Controller, you will support monthly and quarterly reporting, maintain SOX compliance, and collaborate with Sales, Service Delivery, Business Finance and GBS teams.

Key responsibilities

• Post revenue‑related journals within required deadlines for all global entities.
• Drive month‑end and quarter‑end close activities and meet corporate deliverables.
• Maintain and update revenue recognition models for assigned customers.
• Forecast ASC 606 impacts together with FP&A teams.
• Review project budgets for revenue recognition implications.
• Support contract evaluations for ASC 606 compliance.
• Ensure processes and controls comply with US GAAP and Itron policies.
• Liaise with auditors for group and statutory reporting.
• Prepare analytical revenue and unbilled receivable reports.
• Perform monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations related to revenue recognition.
• Participate in process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Qualified accountant or recognized accounting qualification.
• At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience (preferred).
• Knowledge of revenue‑recognition standards (ASC 606) and US GAAP.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment.
