Senior Construction Programmer (Digital Planning)

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Construction Programmer to lead programme development, coordination and reporting across multiple projects for McKeon Group & Hereworks. The role will ensure strategic alignment from tender through to handover, driving digital transformation and improving delivery certainty for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and report on construction programmes for several projects using Asta Powerproject and MS Project.
• Collaborate with pre‑construction, estimating, contracts and site teams to build logic‑based, resource‑aligned schedules.
• Facilitate planning workshops, programme reviews and risk‑forecasting sessions using digital tools and lean principles.
• Update programmes with site inputs via platforms such as Procore and BIM 360.
• Analyse deviations, identify root causes and support recovery strategies with site leadership.
• Prepare delay impact analyses, mitigation plans and EOT claims with robust evidence.
• Integrate design, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning and handover milestones into live programmes.
• Produce high‑quality visualisations (staging diagrams, Gantt charts) for internal and client communications.
• Champion digital transformation initiatives in planning and delivery.

Required profile

• Proven track record in the Irish construction sector.
• Strong understanding of digital construction tools and methodologies.
• Leadership ability to guide multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
