Senior Contracts Manager

About the role

Murphy is seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to lead a large transportation and infrastructure project portfolio in Dublin. The role is responsible for delivering scope safely, on time, to quality standards and financial targets while upholding Murphy’s vision and values.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, manage and deliver works safely, sustainably and in compliance with CDM Regulations.
• Promote a "Never Harm" culture and engage with the CDP programme.
• Lead risk assessments, identify and mitigate risks and capture opportunities.
• Organise and direct project teams, providing line‑management and professional development.
• Chair regular project meetings, track actions and ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Oversee the “fit to start” mobilisation and “fit to finish” hand‑over processes.
• Manage suppliers and sub‑contractors, ensuring spend aligns with forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, policies and procedures (MIMS).

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a relevant trade qualification.
• Proven experience leading large construction or infrastructure contracts.
• Strong understanding of construction contract law and CDM Regulations.
• Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and drive professional conduct.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of construction contracts.
• Familiarity with CDM Regulations and risk assessment processes.
• Experience with supplier and sub‑contractor coordination.
