Senior Daylight and Sunlight Analyst

About the role

Model Works is seeking a Senior Daylight and Sunlight Analyst to join its hybrid team in Blackrock. You will lead detailed daylight, sunlight and overshading assessments for a variety of urban development projects, translating planning policy into robust technical reports.

Key responsibilities

• Build and refine 3D models of proposed developments.
• Run daylight and sunlight simulations using Revit and specialised simulation software.
• Validate simulation data against real‑world conditions.
• Interpret planning policies and technical guidance to ensure compliance.
• Prepare clear analytical reports for architects, planners, clients and authorities.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to methodology improvements.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in daylight and sunlight analysis with knowledge of relevant standards.
• Experience in architectural consultancy or design practice.
• Advanced analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture, engineering, environmental design, building physics or a related field.
