Senior Engineer – Site Management for ESB Projects

About the role

A leading multi‑disciplinary civil engineering and utilities contractor is seeking a Senior Engineer to oversee ESB‑related works across multiple sites in Dublin. The role is site‑based and focuses on delivering projects safely, on schedule, and in line with ESB standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day site operations for ESB and utilities projects.
• Coordinate site managers, teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with ESB standards, permits, RAMS and health & safety requirements.
• Liaise with ESB representatives and internal project stakeholders.
• Monitor programme progress and report to senior management.
• Maintain quality standards and ensure works meet specifications.
• Keep accurate site records and documentation.

Required profile

• Relevant Irish construction or engineering qualification (advantageous but not essential).
• Minimum 2 years experience on ESB or utilities projects.
• Proven site management experience within civil or utilities works.
• Strong knowledge of ESB safety systems and compliance requirements.
• Experience managing live construction environments and subcontractor teams.
• Required certifications: Safepass, Manual Handling, Full Clean Driving licence.
