Senior Full Stack Engineer

About the role

We are partnering with a leading global financial services organisation to find a Senior Full Stack Engineer for a high‑performing Agile team. You will work on enterprise‑scale platforms serving thousands of customers, using cloud‑native technologies and modern development practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable full‑stack applications.
• Build RESTful APIs with Java and Spring Boot.
• Create modern front‑end experiences using Angular and/or React.
• Develop cloud‑native solutions on AWS and Kubernetes.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions and technical decision‑making.
• Drive test automation and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with distributed Agile teams across multiple locations.
• Provide production support when required.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Architects and Technical Leads to shape platform direction.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Angular and/or React, REST API development, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD and automated deployment pipelines.
• Solid understanding of Agile (Scrum) delivery.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to mentor others and provide technical leadership.
• Experience working within distributed development teams.
• Nice to have: experience in financial services or other regulated industries.

What we offer

• 12‑month fixed‑term contract.
• Hybrid work model: 1 week on‑site in Galway, 3 weeks remote.
• Daily rate of €350‑€400.
