Senior HSQE Advisor

About the role

The Senior HSQE Advisor will support the implementation of Glanua’s Health, Safety, Quality and Environment (HSQE) system across projects in Kildare and North Leinster. Working closely with site teams, you will ensure that projects are delivered safely, sustainably and in compliance with legislation and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site HSQE presence during construction and operations, ensuring controls and mitigation measures are applied.
• Develop and monitor site construction stage plans, traffic‑management, waste‑management and other HSQE documentation.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits and weekly hazard reviews, reporting findings through the online management system.
• Lead accident/incident investigations, produce recommendations and follow‑up actions.
• Review and update safety plans based on subcontractor information, design changes and incident feedback.
• Ensure compliance with all internal and external EHS reporting requirements.
• Deliver safety inductions, briefings and training for company and subcontractor personnel.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and external parties on HSQE matters.

Required profile

• Significant experience in HSQE advisory within construction or similar high‑risk environments.
• Strong knowledge of current Irish health, safety and environmental legislation and industry standards.
• Proven ability to develop and implement HSQE plans, conduct investigations and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills to influence site teams, subcontractors and senior management.

Required skills

• ISO 9001 compliance knowledge.
• ISO 45001 compliance knowledge.
• Proficiency with an online HSQE management system for data collection and reporting.
• Experience in traffic‑management planning.
• Experience in waste‑management planning.
• Risk assessment and incident investigation techniques.
