Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a permanent role in Dublin. You will support the delivery of leading‑edge engineering projects, working within a vibrant, agile, multi‑functional team to deliver projects on time, safely, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collate all design documents and drawings and attend project hand‑over meetings.
• Evaluate value‑engineering and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Prepare coordinated drawings covering mechanical, electrical sprinkler, structural and architectural elements.
• Review project design specifications and ensure compliance of coordinated drawings and technical submittals.
• Assist in the production of weekly progress reports and the compilation of technical submittals.
• Process requisitions, generate purchase orders and verify receipt of equipment and materials on site.
• Manage queries through the Request for Information (RFI) system.
• Understand commercial fundamentals such as profit plans and variation logs.
• Liaise with design team members, contractors and internal project teams on technical and commercial issues.
• Attend technical meetings and maintain document control using File Key.
• Prepare method statements and risk assessments for production activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer on construction projects.
• Ability to coordinate technical design with on‑site installation through to commissioning.
• Strong understanding of project specifications, commercial fundamentals and variation management.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work with designers, contractors and internal stakeholders.
