Setting Out Engineer – Residential Projects

About the role
The Setting Out Engineer will translate design information from drawings and digital models into accurate on‑site positions for residential developments. Working closely with site teams and subcontractors, you will ensure that houses, foundations, roads, kerbs and drainage are built to the correct location, level and alignment.
Key responsibilities
- Set out house plots, foundations, roads, kerbs and drainage using survey equipment.
- Operate Total Station, GPS and leveling instruments to verify line, level and position of works.
- Provide technical support and guidance to site crews and subcontractors.
- Maintain detailed setting‑out records and produce as‑built surveys.
- Ensure all construction complies with drawings, specifications and safety regulations.
Required profile
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction or Surveying.
- Experience on residential or civil engineering projects, preferably housing estates.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
