Setting Out Engineer – Site Engineer for Residential Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Setting Out Engineer to join a leading Irish residential developer delivering large‑scale housing across Dublin. In this hands‑on position you will support engineering and site management teams on multiple live projects, ensuring construction works are executed safely, accurately and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform precise setting‑out using total stations (Leica or equivalent) for concrete structures.
• Carry out quality control inspections and monitor progress against programme schedules.
• Supervise site activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with design teams to provide on‑site engineering solutions.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and issue site instructions.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Construction Management.
• Proven experience working on construction sites, preferably with concrete structures.
• Strong setting‑out skills and ability to operate total stations.
• Excellent organisational, time‑management and communication abilities.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.

• Trimble software (advantageous)
