Site Agent – Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Site Agent to lead our construction teams in County Kildare. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, timely and cost‑effective delivery of multiple projects across urban and rural sites.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee site teams including Construction Managers, Site Engineers, Supervisors/Foremen and subcontractors.
• Plan, manage and deliver projects in line with budget, programme and quality standards.
• Coordinate resources (manpower, plant, equipment, materials) from start‑up to completion.
• Liaise with clients, architects, engineers and surveyors, attending regular progress meetings.
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors and manage purchase orders.
• Interpret contract documents, obtain necessary permits and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and monitor construction budgets, forecasts and resource requirements.
• Produce client progress reports, financial updates and risk/opportunity assessments for the Regional Director.
• Implement and maintain HSQE Management Systems and promote a strong safety culture on site.

Required profile

• Degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Member of the relevant professional institution, chartered status (or working towards it).
• 5‑8 years’ experience as a Senior/Site Engineer on civil construction projects.
