Site Engineer – Large-Scale Residential & Commercial Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Site Engineer to join a leading Tier 1 building contractor in Cork. You will oversee large‑scale residential and commercial projects, ensuring high‑quality delivery and compliance with all regulations and specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Set‑out works from engineers’ drawings, conduct site surveys and produce as‑built drawings.
• Read and interpret drawings for layouts, material quantities and construction details.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and the on‑site workforce to achieve programme targets.
• Liaise with client representatives and design team members as required.
• Maintain the highest health, safety and quality standards on site.
• Order, control and track materials, and keep accurate site records.

Required profile

• Third‑level qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2‑3 years post‑qualification experience in construction site engineering.
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Self‑motivated with a focus on safety, quality and programme delivery.
• Full driving licence.
