Site Manager – Groundworks (Construction)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the civils and groundworks package on a large building project in Portlaoise. The role involves overseeing all groundworks, deep drainage, site development and utility works, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily on‑site supervision of labour, plant and material allocations for groundworks and civil works.
• Review work packages, permits and documentation to confirm readiness for safe execution.
• Coordinate with the Senior Project Manager, clients, consultants and public stakeholders.
• Monitor compliance with company HSQE requirements and standards.
• Conduct post‑construction surveys and compile As‑Built records.

Required profile

• Strong background in groundworks and large civil projects.
• Relevant third‑level qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline (desirable but not essential).
• Supervisory experience on similar sized projects.
• Full driving licence and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
