Site Manager – Heritage Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the day‑to‑day delivery of heritage, conservation and façade restoration projects for a specialist contractor based in Dublin. The role involves overseeing all on‑site activities from mobilisation through to handover, ensuring safety, quality and programme targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily site operations and drive progress in line with the project programme.
• Coordinate and supervise direct labour and subcontractors across multiple work packages.
• Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications, conservation requirements and planning permissions.
• Oversee refurbishment, structural remediation, façade repair and related construction activities.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate closely with the Contracts Manager/Director to achieve successful delivery.
• Organise site logistics, access, material deliveries and resource allocation.
• Lead site meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate site records, labour reports, progress updates, diaries and quality documentation.
• Manage snagging, defect resolution and support commissioning and final handover.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing construction sites, particularly heritage, conservation or façade restoration projects.
• Ability to act as the primary on‑site point of contact for clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Strong focus on health and safety, workmanship standards and regulatory compliance.
