Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

Paddle is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to strengthen the reliability of its payment platform and help product engineers work more efficiently. You will join the SRE team within the Platform function, acting as a bridge between product teams and infrastructure, and driving automation across the stack.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain tools that automate deployment pipelines, database upgrades, and other engineering workflows.
• Identify manual processes that can be automated to improve developer experience and overall system reliability.
• Collaborate closely with engineers across product teams to enable best‑practice DevOps practices.
• Create, test, and continuously improve disaster‑recovery procedures, including automation of failover and recovery steps.
• Leverage AI‑assisted tools for code generation, investigation, and documentation while ensuring appropriate guardrails.
• Define production standards as code and help smooth out operational friction for service owners.

Required profile

• Proven experience in site reliability, platform engineering, or a closely related field.
• Strong focus on automation, observability, and reliability engineering best practices.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with cross‑functional engineering teams.
• Ability to evaluate, adopt, and educate teammates on new technologies and tooling.
