Social Sustainability Manager

About the role

BAM is seeking a Social Sustainability Manager to join its Carlow office. You will support project teams in delivering and reporting on social sustainability requirements, acting as the primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders across Ireland.

Key responsibilities

• Support project teams to meet social sustainability KPIs and reporting obligations.
• Serve as the main contact for stakeholders on social sustainability matters.
• Manage data and produce aggregate reports using BAM’s Social Sustainability Reporting Tool (SSRT) and BAMSI reporting tools.
• Create and administer social sustainability materials and events.
• Develop and deliver engagement activities such as job fairs, STEM events, school outreach, and charitable initiatives.
• Identify and maintain partnerships that advance the social sustainability strategy.
• Provide advice, guidance, and training on social sustainability topics.
• Support audit processes for the Considerate Constructors Scheme.
• Collaborate with subcontractors to gather social sustainability information.
• Develop case‑study knowledge banks for bid material and strategic responses.
• Offer specialist support to tender and work‑winning teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in social sustainability, social value, social impact, or community development within private or public organisations.
• Degree‑level qualification or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and partnership development.
