Staff Nurse – Emergency Department (Multiple Locations)

About the role

The Staff Nurse role in the Emergency Department provides high‑quality nursing care to patients presenting with urgent and acute health needs. The position is available across three Midlands regional hospitals – Tullamore, Portlaoise and Mullingar – and can be filled on a full‑time or part‑time basis.

Key responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and deliver direct patient care in a fast‑paced emergency setting.
• Administer medications, treatments and interventions in accordance with clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with doctors, allied health professionals and support staff to coordinate timely patient management.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations, ensuring patient safety and adherence to HSE standards.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with at least two years of post‑registration experience in an acute hospital environment.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.
